The incident caused the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a suspected irritant spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was among those injured during the incident. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

This event – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – led to train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
