Trump's Family Member Receives Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut
The rising star has impressive social media audience
The young golfer will have plenty of prominent supporters when she makes her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses numerous courses worldwide and regularly plays against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she stated.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa basically advised me to compete and relax," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events this year and holds ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
But she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He is the top athlete worldwide," Kai expressed.
"And he's a more impressive individual. He suggested me to compete, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."
The golfer will compete against several top competitors in the sport at the competition, such as world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA commented that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to new audiences, specifically reaching the next generation.
Kai boasts millions of followers and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living company.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
