A police sergeant remarked: “Local people, drivers and our roads policing teams have had enough with these groups of motorists selfishly taking over public roads and car parks and we will not tolerate it.”

He added: “These events are not only a total disturbance, but they also put participants and uninvolved individuals at danger of severe harm.”

He finished: “Our efforts will persist to prosecute these individuals and I hope these recent cases act as a warning: you will face consequences.”
