Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, according to an official statement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane touched down based on established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative stated in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This incident isn't the first time that a US military aircraft transporting a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to return to Washington DC after encountering a technical issue.
